The visa request is ok. Somewhere next week I will receive my passport back with a US visa in it. Current planning is leaving around the 7th or 8th of October.
There is no apartment booked yet, that is best done when I am there. I hope there still will be one available at Liberty Towers.

I arrived at the Amsterdam consulate at 8.15, there is already a small queue there outside of the fence. One by one we may enter, no guests allowed, only applicants, and there is a body search still outside. Then another queue to get inside the building, again one by one. When entering the building you pass a scanning door, and then to the first window (third queue). You give the papers and (pin)pay the 85 Euro for the application of the visa. Then you wait in the same room until you are called to another window. There are a few questions, and two fingers are scanned for fingerprints, and then you're ready.
